It is Aalish's preference to use this power to rapidly regenerate destroyed vegetation, but when necessary, it has been known to generate fire - to even shoot fireballs out of its wings. After all, Aalish's name does mean flame.

While largely playful on land and in water, if you threaten to destroy a forest, helpless critter, or say, blueberry farm, Aalish is sure to make its present know in stopping you. Even if you are not subjected to its massive auric power, it has a beak, a single antler-like horn, and wings that can quickly put a stop to any exploitation of nature. 

When Aalish buries itself in the ground, not only is it achieving maximum stealth, but it is also charging itself up with massive quantities of auric energy.
